Ventura Interieur has been part of Biennale Interieur (17-26 October 2014) for the second time in a row in 2014, representing a curated event based on the successful concept behind the Ventura Projects.
The Ventura Projects (Ventura Lambrate, Ventura Berlin and Ventura Interieur) are curated design districts that focus on displaying the most creative outings of the contemporary international design world. Ventura Interieur presents a diverse mix of design projects and objects created by individual designers, design collectives, new brands, art and design academies and institutions and design centers at several locations within Biennale Interieur (at various locations within the city, such as Buda Island). Through this platform, Ventura Interieur aims to show the audience of the biennale what is happening in contemporary design nowadays and in the broader cultural sectors related to the design world.
Biennale Interieur in Kortrijk, Belgium, is globally recognised as one of the leading design biennials in Northern Europe, every other Autumn. In 2012 the Biennale Interieur attracted over 100.000 visitors (84.000 Kortrijk Xpo and 24.000 Buda Island in the city) on an exhibition surface of more than 40.000 square meters.
“Every design trade fair should have a dedicated area that injects fresh talent, pioneering thinking and creative energy into an overtly commercial environment. Ventura Interieur provided that punctuation moment.” Max Fraser, Deputy Director of London Design Festival
